Hook-ups, shoplifting, drug dealing, oh my.

I read about the doghouse hook-up in The National Enquirer‎ back in the 90s.

by Anonymousreply 1June 15, 2015 1:26 AM

Really, R1.

I can't wait for the next revelation about Greg and Carol going out for lunch or dinner or whatever the hell it was.

by Anonymousreply 2June 15, 2015 1:30 AM

Are any of these reveals supposed to be shocking? They've all been printed and discussed for quite some time, including by the cast members themselves.

by Anonymousreply 3June 15, 2015 1:32 AM

Is the Brady Bunch big in Australia?

by Anonymousreply 4June 15, 2015 1:33 AM

I think they talked about that before R2. They denied they had sex, which was the long-standing rumor.

by Anonymousreply 5June 15, 2015 1:34 AM

So Brady sin/dickation came long before their syndication.

by Anonymousreply 6June 15, 2015 1:36 AM

Yes, why is Maureen McCormick Australia's little darling?

by Anonymousreply 7June 15, 2015 1:50 AM
Eve (who played Jan Brady) always had a crush on Chris (Peter Brady), they did kind of hook up later on.

How does someone "kind of hook up"? That's like being "kind of pregnant" or "kind of dead".

by Anonymousreply 8June 15, 2015 2:13 AM

I have a friend who knows Susan. Olson quite well. Recently the cast was contacted to secure their approval for letting an ad agency use their recording of Sunshine Day for a commercial which would have meant money for all of them. Maureen McCormick refused which nixed the project and Susan took to Facebook bashing Maureen and stating everyone had it wrong thinking Eve was the "difficult" one all these years. Supposedly her attack got quite vicious, causing Susan's Facebook friends to chastise her for hashing this out so publicly so she removed the (multiple) posts.

by Anonymousreply 9June 15, 2015 3:08 AM

So bizarre that all the drama from this cast seems to have built up to a boiling point over the years. You'd think they'd have gotten over any hurts and issues years ago but instead it all just seems to increase as time goes on.

by Anonymousreply 10June 15, 2015 3:28 AM

Surely Maureen could use the cash? What's her beef?

by Anonymousreply 11June 15, 2015 3:31 AM

Did Mike and Maureen do drugs together?

This and other burning questions on the next As Mike Brady Turns in His Grave.

by Anonymousreply 12June 15, 2015 3:41 AM

In her book, MM talks about how she found religion which helped her get sober. Maybe she didn't approve of the product, whatever it was. Though you'd think she had to sign off on that terrible Snickers commercial since it used her likeness so it's hard to imagine her being super selective.

Maybe it's just spite/vindictiveness.

by Anonymousreply 13June 15, 2015 3:42 AM

Whatever happened to the actor who played cousin Oliver?

by Anonymousreply 14June 15, 2015 3:50 AM

R11, Because Maureen is a SERIOUS actor!

by Anonymousreply 15June 15, 2015 3:53 AM

I wonder if Bobby got any perks from suck ups when he was the safety monitor at school?

by Anonymousreply 16June 15, 2015 4:00 AM

Robbie Rist (Cousin Oliver) still does a lot of voice work and shows up at those autograph shows, often with some of the other Brady kids.

by Anonymousreply 17June 15, 2015 4:04 AM

Robbie Rist aka Cousin Oliver was the school bus driver in the first Sharknado movie. He was just as irritating in that as he was on The Brady Bunch

by Anonymousreply 18June 15, 2015 4:05 AM
So bizarre that all the drama from this cast seems to have built up to a boiling point over the years. You'd think they'd have gotten over any hurts and issues years ago but instead it all just seems to increase as time goes on.

My theory is that they're all very bitter that the Brady Bunch typecast them forever, and none of them were able to make the transition to successful adult actors. They're pissed, so they take their shit out on each other.

BTW, was Ann B. Davis a dyke or not?

by Anonymousreply 19June 15, 2015 4:07 AM

Yeah, typecasting can be a bitch.

by Anonymousreply 20June 15, 2015 4:13 AM

Contrary to popular belief, Robert Reed did not die of AIDS. Although he was HIV-positive, his actual cause of death was colon cancer.

by Anonymousreply 21June 15, 2015 6:28 PM

But whatever happened to TIGER?

by Anonymousreply 22June 15, 2015 6:47 PM

If Susan were really smart, she would have titled her book, "I Know A Thecret..."

by Anonymousreply 23June 15, 2015 9:11 PM

R19 God, yes she was a huge dyke. The dykiest dyke that ever dyked. Other than Constance Ford, that is!

by Anonymousreply 24June 15, 2015 9:38 PM

Thindy lookth dykey.

Didn't someone here report that her FB posts were rabidly right wing?

by Anonymousreply 25June 15, 2015 9:41 PM

R24, from what I've read, Ann B. Davis was a dyke, but abstained from sex because she was involved in some kind of gay but celibate Christian denomination. For some reason I can believe that Ann and other lesbians can control themselves, but I doubt that the men could.

by Anonymousreply 26June 15, 2015 10:00 PM
Recently the cast was contacted to secure their approval for letting an ad agency use their recording of Sunshine Day for a commercial which would have meant money for all of them. Maureen McCormick refused which nixed the project

I would be interested to know more of these details since by now, many of the 'Brady kids' could probably use the money. Why did Maureen refuse the project? Was it something understandably legitimate, or did she think this project would hurt her image--which at this point--come on?!

It's hard to transition from a child star to adult working actor, so I can see why many of the Bradys have fallen off the radar and out of the public eye. It's a tough business, and if the Sunshine Day commercial paid sufficiently, some of these people don't have many show business options at this point.

by Anonymousreply 27June 15, 2015 10:09 PM
gay but celibate Christian denomination

I think she became an Episcopalian minister.

by Anonymousreply 28June 15, 2015 10:11 PM

Do you think any of them are really hurting for money?

There was the original Brady Bunch. The Brady Bunch cartoon. The Variety Show. The Brady Brides. Two or three reunion specials. Are they really hurting for money? Their franchise was much bigger than The Partridge Family.

by Anonymousreply 29June 15, 2015 10:15 PM
The dykiest dyke that ever dyked. Other than Constance Ford, that is!

What am I, chopped liver?

by Anonymousreply 30June 15, 2015 10:29 PM

Howard Leeds works into all of this somehow. He was a producer on this show, then he went on to do [italic]Diff'rent Strokes[/italic] (enough said) and [italic]Small Wonder[/italic] (which accurately predicted Jerry Supiran would be homeless one day). Barry Williams describes him in his book as someone who didn't seem to like kids.

by Anonymousreply 31June 15, 2015 10:40 PM
Do you think any of them are really hurting for money?

If they don't need money it's not because of "The Brady Bunch." They made almost nothing from the original series and while I'm sure they got okay money to return for all the various spinoffs/specials it wasn't long-lasting. All the interview shows and autograph shows are easy extra money for them.

by Anonymousreply 32June 15, 2015 10:42 PM

I'm more surprised they still have to get permission from all of them in order to use the song. I'd assume the recording is owned by Paramount or whatever company now owns the "Brady" TV series.

I remember when the spoof movie came out in the 90s one of the original cast commented they were surprised when the movie cast broke into song and they were just lip-synching to the original Brady recording. Apparently they didn't have to sign off on the rights then.

by Anonymousreply 33June 15, 2015 10:46 PM

I sort of love how she slyly keeps throwing Maureen under the bus in the interview, ha!

by Anonymousreply 34June 15, 2015 10:47 PM

Maureen was probably the Melissa Sue Anderson of their set.

by Anonymousreply 35June 15, 2015 10:56 PM

Isn't Susan Olsen a libertarian, conspiracy-theory, Obama hating cunt? Someone posted a link to her ranting a couple of years ago,

by Anonymousreply 36June 15, 2015 11:05 PM

She had a lot of nice things to say about marriage equality.

by Anonymousreply 37June 15, 2015 11:10 PM

Cindy is still a tattle tale

by Anonymousreply 38August 2, 2015 3:35 PM

From what I understand she is pro gay so why is she trashed as a conservative?

Also Reed was very handsome before he fried his hair. He came off as a totally straight family man.

by Anonymousreply 40August 2, 2015 9:52 PM

That's not the only place he came!

by Anonymousreply 41August 2, 2015 10:07 PM
From what I understand she is pro gay so why is she trashed as a conservative?

Because she spouts idiotic Republican trash.
Also Reed was very handsome before he fried his hair. He came off as a totally straight family man.

Reed didn't fry his hair. His hair was naturally curly. Humid weather caused his hair to revert to its natural state.

by Anonymousreply 42August 2, 2015 10:18 PM

This is ok, Kid, but if you really want to sell it and make some real money, let's consider some other titles:

"A Brady Bunch Threesome: Thindy, Bobby, and Kitty Karryall Get IT On Behind the Scenes"

"Thindy Brady: the Story of a Tiny Tweaker"

"Dawn: the Story of a Teenage Prostitute and her Pre-Teen Sista Cindy also Working in the Biz"

"Our House Had No Toilets: Making Out Wasn't the Only Thing We Did in That Yard"

by Anonymousreply 43August 2, 2015 10:20 PM

Maureen's THIS close to a smack in the face with THE SHIT-BRA !

by Anonymousreply 44August 2, 2015 10:45 PM

R35 What is that comment supposed to mean?

by Anonymousreply 45June 24, 2020 6:46 AM

What about Cindy? Is she now a Trumptard?

by Anonymousreply 46June 24, 2020 6:55 AM

Maureen was on the first season of the Australian version of "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me out of Here!" and did very well on it--she almost made it to the last episode. It's apparently a very popular show in Australia.

The other two sisters will always hate her for being the pretty one.

by Anonymousreply 47June 24, 2020 7:07 AM

[R33] is totally correct -The kids don't own the rights to the recording. Also, as a pre-1981 show, any royalties from their Brady Bunch work would have ended quite some time ago.

by Anonymousreply 48June 24, 2020 8:14 AM

Check out her FB page, R46, and you'll see what a crazed idiot she is.

by Anonymousreply 49June 24, 2020 8:59 AM
What about Cindy? Is she now a Trumptard?

Yes. I've gotten into several online arguments with her til she banned me.

by Anonymousreply 50June 24, 2020 1:31 PM
if the Sunshine Day commercial paid sufficiently, some of these people don't have many show business options at this point.

There’s your most likely answer - the pay was probably scale, or close to it.

That’s not much when this was most likely a buy-out rather than running with residuals.

She probably held out for decent pay, and the production company balked.

Snickers coffers are deep. This prod. co. was probably rinky-dink.

by Anonymousreply 52June 24, 2020 2:48 PM

Barry Williams has done well. Christopher Knight has a furniture collection and other businesses and he seems to have done well. I'm not sure about the others.

by Anonymousreply 53June 24, 2020 2:52 PM

From the recent Brady Home renovation episodes, Mo and Eve seemed to get on with each other better now--time and age (and, yeah, a great paycheck offering) all probably do help to put things in better perspective.

by Anonymousreply 54June 25, 2020 5:51 AM

Trying to find Susan Olson's Facebook page where she rages about politics, but can't locate it. Anyone know how to find it?

by Anonymousreply 55June 25, 2020 7:41 AM

Ugh. Barry Williams is Repug.

by Anonymousreply 56June 25, 2020 8:10 AM

Thee you on the thee thaw, Thindy!

by Anonymousreply 57June 25, 2020 12:45 PM

Eve and Mo were on HGTV recently where they remotely helped families decorate their homes. Eve has legitimate artistic talent and should do more of this type of show. Mo has stage presence but sounds fake as fuck most of the time. Notice they don’t ask Susan to do these as I picture her in a smoke filled, white trash decorated trailer.

by Anonymousreply 58June 25, 2020 1:00 PM
Ugh. Barry Williams is Repug.

Judging from her Twitter feed, Eve Plumb is definitely not.
