Iggy Azalea lost weight from twerking
Iggy Azalea has revealed that she lost 15 lbs while rehearsing for her new video, 'Mo Bounce'.
In a radio interview with New Zealand station, Nova 96.9’s Fitzy and Wippa, she said: "It's a lot — I went on a meal plan before the video because I knew I would have to be dancing fairly skimpily dressed - I did a lot of rehearsals actually, and man I lost 15 pounds in a week dancing to that song!"
But before you go off and try manic twerking, the 26-year-old, did reveal it's not actually that easy. "I did take classes. I do have someone who is very, very good at twerking, and she helped me."
"I never realized how flexible you have to be to do that stuff. My teacher was like 'I really suggest you take yoga' and I didn't know you had to take yoga to be a twerker but apparently you do."
Produced by Far East Movement (remember them?), 'Mo Bounce' follows 'Team' as the second single from her upcoming album Digital Distortion. If you're a fan of repetitive lyrics, this one's for you. If not, be warned - it's a grower.
Iggy's debut album The New Classic was released in 2014. We're hoping she has a 'Black Widow' style single in the pipeline.
