Karen Coffey Obituary, Death Cause – After a brief struggle with illness, Karen Mae Coffey, 66 years old, a resident of Granite Falls, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at her residence. She was at home when she passed away. The presence of her loved ones and friends who had gathered around her in her final moments provided her with comfort and support. She was born on October 13, 1956 in Portsmouth County, Virginia to the late Ira Coffey and Elsie Harmon Coffey.

Her father passed away before she was born. Her father had already passed away before she was being born. Her mother was already an adult when her father passed away before she was born. Gary Coffey and Donald Harmon, both of her brothers, had previously passed away before she did. They were her ancestors before her. Both of her parents were among the group of persons who had already passed away prior to her own passing away.

During the thirty years that Ms. Coffey worked at Burns Wood Products, her title at the company was “Press Operator,” and she was responsible for operating presses. There, Ms. Coffey was employed. She enjoyed fishing, traveling to new places, and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys with all of her heart. She was also a loyal fan of the Minnesota Twins. She was known as “Nanny K” by her eleven grandchildren, and she considered this to be a term of endearment for herself.

Sherry Diane Robbins, her partner in life and one of the people who were able to flee the scene, was one of them. In addition, she is survived by her two daughters, Stacy Burgess and Cheryl Gulda (Bill), both of Granite Falls; her step-son, Jason Burchette (Mary), also of Granite Falls; her step-daughter, Chasity Shull (Johnnie), also of Granite Falls; her brother, Dale Coffey, also of Granite Falls; her sister, Sarah Baker (Mike), of Hudson; and eleven grandchildren: Stacy Burgess of Vale,
