MHLA delivers pies, socks to seniors | News, Sports, Jobs
Maui Hotel & Lodging Association members helped deliver 500 holiday pies and new pairs of socks to seniors islandwide on Dec. 8.
The association partnered with Kaunoa Senior Services, Meals on Wheels and Maui County staff and volunteers to deliver pumpkin and apple pies made by several Maui hotels, as well as socks packaged by student volunteers from the UH Maui College Hospitality & Tourism program and the Maui High School Hospitality & Tourism Club.
“The visitor industry of Maui loves to bring joy to our kupuna” said Maui Hotel & Lodging Association Executive Director Lisa Paulson. “It is heartwarming to see our property members giving generously of their resources and time while still navigating such recent hardships.”
The pies were prepared by staff at the Fairmont Kea Lani, Four Seasons Maui at Wailea, Hyatt Regency Maui, Marriott Maui Ocean Club, Montage Kapalua Bay, The Ritz-Carlton Maui Kapalua, Wailea Beach Resort and Westin Maui Resort & Spa.
