The Epcot Seas Adventures Aqua Tour

Publish date: 2024-06-15

Have you ever wanted to explore the big blue world with Nemo and all his friends? Maybe catch a peek of Mr. Ray, Dory, or a sea… anemonemone…amnemonemomne…ahem, sorry…anemone? Well, you are in luck. Guests to Walt Disney World’s Epcot Park can take part in the The Epcot Seas Adventures – Aqua Tour. What is it? I am so glad you asked. Here’s what you need to know.

1. What Is The Aqua Tour?

The tour is a 2.5 hour experience at Caribbean Coral Reef, a 5.7-million-gallon, man-made saltwater ocean. Thirty minutes of your tour include actual snorkeling time. You will not be allowed to dive beneath the surface of the water, but you will get to view over 65 different species swimming about the tank. In addition, you’ll get a tour of the infrastructure that keeps The Seas with Nemo and Friends area working, have the opportunity to ask questions about the coral reef, and view an educational video. At the end of the tour, you’ll also receive a special, Aqua Tour souvenir.

2. No Dive Experience? No Problem!

You don’t have to be dive certified to take part in the tour. In fact, it’s specially designed for guests who aren’t SCUBA-certified. You’ll be given a snorkel unit that ensures you remain floating and breathing, both key elements to enjoying the experience. All snorkel equipment is provided for you, but you are asked to bring your own swimsuit. No jewelry is permitted in the aquarium, with the lone exception being a watch. Note that you will be required to sign a waiver before taking part in the snorkeling experience.

3. How Much Does it Cost?

Pricing is listed at $145.00 per Guest. There is a minimum age of eight years old to participate, and Guests under 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult (18 or older).

4. Are Photographs Allowed?

Yes and no. The experience takes you to backstage areas at Epcot. While backstage, photography and video are strictly prohibited. However, Guests are encouraged to take photos during all other portions of the tour. In addition, you will receive a complimentary photo of yourself decked out in your snorkeling gear.

5. Accessibility

According to the Walt Disney World web page, Guests requiring mobility assistance must transfer to a standard wheelchair.

6. Reservations and Check-In

Reservations can be made by calling (407) WDW-TOUR/(407) 939-8687. Guests are asked to check in 15 minutes before the start of the tour. Check-In takes place at the entrance of Epcot, near the Guest Relations window. Failure to show up or cancellations occurring within two days of your scheduled tour will result in the loss of the entire cost of the experience.

7. One More Thing…

There are sharks in the tank you’ll be snorkeling in, but don’t worry. They solemnly swear that Guests are friends, not food.
