Tim Wendt Obituary, Death Cause – On Monday, September 18, 2023, the world lost a beloved son, husband, father, and friend, Timothy “Tim” Wendt of Wathena, Kansas. Born on January 24, 1971, in St. Joseph, Missouri, to Lewis and Shirley Wendt, Tim’s life was characterized by love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for family and friends. Tim’s journey through life led him to Troy High School, where he pursued his education. He later joined Mid Cities Trucking Company, where he not only considered his colleagues as co-workers but as part of his extended family. Additionally, Tim contributed his talents to BMS. His commitment to the world of sports was unmistakable.

On October 24, 1992, Tim embarked on a lifelong journey of love when he married Jenny McVey in Elwood, Kansas. Their enduring love and partnership were the cornerstone of Tim’s life. Jenny survives him and holds the cherished memories of their life together. Throughout his life, Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents, his niece Malorie Adkins, and nephew Kyle “Whitey” Smith. However, his memory lives on through the many lives he touched and the legacy he leaves behind.

Family was of utmost importance to Tim. He was a loving son to his parents, Lewis and Shirley Wendt, and he shared a special bond with his siblings, Lewis Jr. “Butch” Wendt, Dennis Wendt, and Kim Smith. The Wendt family was a source of strength, support, and joy for Tim. Tim’s extended family included his mother and father-in-law, Clinton and Joanne McVey, sisters-in-law Natalie Adkins and Brenda Karn, brother-in-law Rodney McVey, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who considered Tim an integral part of their lives.
